WRITING IS THE 4th PILLAR OF THE 'Four Language Skill'

WHAT IS WRITING? 

Writing is a framework for our communication. Its a part of our daily life through pens or keyboards and we use it in offices, schools, for documentation etc. Basically, Writing is a medium of human communication. It is a form to organize facts, figures, thoughts, ideas, information, and knowledge. It is a cyclic and a continuous process of expressing your thoughts and ideas. Writing makes our thoughts or views more prominent or permanent because the words may vanish but the written content can be accessible for a long time. Words we write is the power to bring change in our surroundings.

English Language the most prominent language all around the World. Language includes grammar, punctuation and sentence structure, while, Vocabulary is also an important factor. Writing is the process of using signs and symbols, to communicate the thoughts, ideas, and views to everyone. Writing is the fourth pillar of the 'Four Language Skill', which are:-

1. Listening 

2. Speaking 

3. Reading 

4. Writing

Writing basically writing is not a language, but it is a tool which is used to make language be read.

Aristotle sad that,

"Spoken words are symbols of affection or impressions of the soul....What we call concepts or ideas....while written words are symbols of spoken words that allows for interpretations."

Writing can make our thinking and ideas more visible in our minds because of Writing:

• is thinking 

• is about organizing 

As in the book named as "The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons" the writer and philosopher 

Liu Hsieh quotes that,

"When the mind is at work, speech is ultered. When speech is ultered, writing is produced."

WHO ARE WRITERS?

A writer is a person who puts their thoughts, ideas or views into written words, for others to read, while, some writers prefer to the writer for themselves.

The Writers focuses on three simple elements before writing any kind of content, which are as follows:

1.  Purpose

2. Tone 

3. Audience
   

AUDIENCE OF WRITING:

The form of writing we you use is should influence the audience. Because we are writing for our audience. Our content, tone and language changes according to what we know about our audience. We should understand the choices of the public because the audience is who you are writing for. It's helpful if you placed yourselves as a reader while Writing your content. 

There are two types of audience:

• Private

• Public

Private audience; like your family and friends

Public audience; like everyone living in this World.

There are several types of writing, which are in use of writers all around you:

There many more types just give a look around yourselves. If we just look at the Newspapers we found many different types of writing such as; News reports, columns, Letter to the Editor, movie or books reviews etc. Even in News reports, there is a further breakdown in writing styles like Political reports, Sports reports, entertainment reports, political cartoons etc.
